Sharda Sinha born on (1 October 1952) is a Maithili and Bhojpuri folk-singer from Bihar, India. She was born in Hulas, Raghopur, Supaul district of Bihar and is considered to be one of the most celebrated and respected singers of Bihar who sings in Maithili and other languages like Bhojpuri and Magahi. She is famous for her Maithili version of the Chhath Puja themed song “Ho dinanath”. She got civilian award Padma Bhushan on the eve of Republic Day, 2018. Her Maithili song and Bhojpuri song are both rage in Bihar and UP. Her songs of chatth puja are a part of customs and tradition in chatth puja time . Her strength is her unique voice !!!
