Udit Narayan Jha

Udit Narayan Jha is the most famous Indian playback singer currently . His songs are rage in Bollywood industry . He has also sung in various other languages including Maithili ,Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Odia, Nepali, Bhojpuri, Bengali. He has won 4 National Film Awards and 5 times Filmfare Awards with 20 nominations among many others.. He was lucky to sing with legends like Mohammed Rafi in movie Unees-Bees in 1980 and also with Kishore Kumar in the 1980s. His meteoric rise came in 1988 in a movie Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, starring Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla, his song in this movie “Papa Kehte Hain” was his game changer performance which earned him his first Filmfare Award in the 1980s and he established himself in Bollywood Playback Singing. In Indian History he is the only male singer who has won Filmfare Awards in over three decades (the 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s).

Udit Narayan was born to Nepali father Harekrishna Jha and Indian Mother Bhuvaneshwari Jha in 1955 at baisi village in supaul district of bihar . He received India’s civilian honour padma shri In 2009. . Narayan studied at Jageshwar High School, Kunauli, Supaul, Bihar, India, where he finished his SSC. Since his childhood days were spent in epicenter of Maithili region, he started singing Maithili song in very early days . In Maithili Song , he sung Maithili bhajan and Maithili lokgeet. In a interview , he shared his stories how he used to sing Maithili Song in mela , school, and festivals . In a few years Udit Narayan Jha started singing Bhojpuri and other languages and became legendry of india .
